Found

Found boxes filled with old family photos the other day.  What started as a nonchalant peek turned into an hour of careful sorting.  Got me thinking that some photographs are timeless in their composition, subject matter, printing, etc.  The picture of the boat and my mom for example.  I know some fine art photographers that are putting out almost identical work right now.  Below are some that I liked and scanned.  Funny how priests coached sports team in those days...

And the website is coming, should be live this Sunday night.

IR

Shot a lot of 35mm Kodak b/w infrared film in the past, which is now discontinued I believe.  Photoshop wizards will tell you that they can reproduce the effect, but I disagree.  Too many factors came into play when shooting with it.  The time of the day, filters, chemistry, just to name a few.  The grain of the negative could be manipulated in so many ways.

Dont get me wrong, I'm not at all complaining that it's gone, sign of the times I guess, time to move on .

† Kill Cheerleader †

Long live Kill Cheerleader.  Now defunct, this Toronto band made the best R n' R album of the early/mid 2000's.  Below are photos I took from various shows when the band made their way to the nation's capital.  Friends and I never missed one and always had a riot at the concerts.  And I also broke more than one camera "watching" them...

Some of the guys are still with various bands,  Rites drums for Zuku and Cauldron, and Ethan is half the duo Crystal Castle.  Some of you that are fans of CC might be surprised by the change of music style, but I say when you're an artist, you change from time to time.

For all you honest folks out there who still buy records, their album "All Hail" can be bought here.  Well worth your ten dollars and change.

"the greatest rock and roll band since Guns N' Roses."  Lemmy - Motörhead.

BLUSHBEADS

Been helping out my friend Sandy for a while now with photos of her handmade jewellery. Sandy is very talented and makes awesome pieces well worth the money.  You can check out her website here.  I mostly did the layout photos that appear on the top of each pages as well as her x-mass promos she sends out in the holiday season.

Just got back from two weeks at the cottage, next post on here will probably be about it.  Expect ducks and chainsaws, although not together.  Hope everyone's having a good summer.

Later,
